Role Overview 

We are hiring a Senior SQL Developer to optimize and stabilize a high-volume database environment handling thousands of concurrent users. This role focuses on improving query performance, resolving locking issues, and enhancing system efficiency within a C#/.NET and Angular ecosystem.  

Key Responsibilities 

• Perform a full audit of SQL queries, stored procedures, and reporting systems
  
  
• Optimize complex queries, joins, and Entity Framework–generated SQL
  
  
• Identify and resolve locking, blocking, and deadlocks
  
  
• Improve indexing strategies and query execution plans
  
  
• Enhance concurrency handling in high-load environments
  
  
• Optimize database interactions in APIs and background jobs
  
  
• Implement monitoring for query performance and system health
  
  
• Document improvements and share knowledge with internal teams
  
  

Role Details
 

• Location: Ramapo, New York (US only)
  
  
• Work Model: Hybrid (2–3 days/week onsite)
  
  
• Type: Full-time contract (40h/week)

Requirements
 

• Advanced SQL expertise with performance tuning experience
  
  
• Strong understanding of concurrency, locks, and deadlocks
  
  
• Experience with stored procedures, CTEs, and window functions
  
  
• Hands-on experience with C#/.NET and Entity Framework
  
  
• Familiarity with high-traffic systems and background processing
  
  
• Experience with performance tools (Query Store, Profiler, Execution Plans)
