Supervising Accountant

Liberty Mutual is hiring a Supervising Accountant to manage complex accounting work and lead a team. What you will do

• Prepare complex financial reports using a broad knowledge of accounting policies and procedures.
• Prepare and input general ledger entries through set procedures and various accounting systems.
• Research complex accounting treatment and policies using available technology and other resources.
• Research and resolve complex reconciling issues and discrepancies, and take corrective measures to prevent them.
• Provide customer service to internal and external groups.
• Set goals and objectives for the team and prepare performance reviews.
• Provide training and developmental opportunities to motivate staff.
• Give hiring recommendations on candidates and input on compensation recommendations for current staff.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent accounting experience.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• Broad knowledge of accounting practices and procedures.
• Understanding of statutory accounting fundamentals and related financial statements.
