Lead Business Analyst

We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Lead Business Analyst to drive business process optimization, system improvements, and data-driven decision-making. In this role, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders, development teams, and executives to gather insights, define business requirements, and translate them into actionable solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, a detail-oriented approach, and excellent communication abilities to navigate complex business challenges effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Business Process Analysis & Optimization

  • Analyze business operations, workflows, and data to identify opportunities for efficiency and innovation.

  • Develop process maps, workflows, and business cases to support strategic decision-making.

  • Conduct impact assessments and risk analyses for proposed changes and new initiatives.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Requirements Gathering

  • Work with business leaders, product managers, and technical teams to gather and define requirements.

  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and focus groups to capture insights and user needs.

  • Document functional and technical requirements using industry best practices.

Implementation & Project Execution

  • Partner with development teams to ensure requirements are well understood and implemented correctly.

  • Track project progress and ensure alignment with business objectives and timelines.

  • Monitor and measure the success of implemented changes, optimizing as needed.

Mentorship & Industry Expertise

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior business analysts.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to drive innovation.

Qualifications & Skills

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

  • Strong ability to translate business challenges into actionable solutions.

  • Expertise in business process modeling tools (BPMN, UML, etc.).

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau, etc.).

  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies.

Preferred:

  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or equivalent certification.

  • Experience with enterprise tools like Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.

  • Knowledge of financial modeling and budgeting techniques.

  • Industry experience in FinTech, Healthcare, or other relevant domains.
