What you will do

  • Source new Public Sector opportunities through outbound outreach

  • Grow the top of the sales funnel through warm and cold outbound campaigns
  • Research companies and add prospects to the outbound list
  • Keep client relationship data accurate in Salesforce

What they are looking for

  • Experience working directly in the Public Sector/SLED space
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, good listening, and an energetic phone presence
  • Comfort with sales, prospecting, and marketing tools and processes
  • Dedication to tracking and improving performance and efficiency daily
  • Deep interest in understanding business challenges
  • A self-starter with a high sense of urgency who can work within undefined processes

Nice to haves include prior customer-facing or sales experience, prior CRM experience (Salesforce preferred), financial services sales experience, experience at a high-growth startup, the ability to understand financial services, and a bachelor's degree from a four-year university.

Pay

The listing gives a range of $76,000 to $104,500 for candidates in NYC or SF, and $68,000 to $93,500 for candidates in all other locations. The role also offers equity and commission.

Benefits

Full-time Ramp employees get flexible PTO, centralized home-office equipment ordering, a health and wellness stipend, a budget for intra-office travel, and a weekly coffee stipend.

In the United States: 100% medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage for you, with partial coverage for dependents; a One Medical annual membership; a 401(k) with employer match on contributions made while employed by Ramp; a fertility HRA of up to $10,000 per year; parental leave of up to 16 weeks (birthing and bonding) or 8 weeks (bonding only) at 100% pay; pet insurance; in-office perks including lunch, snacks, and drinks; and relocation expense coverage to NYC or SF if needed.

About Ramp

Ramp builds finance infrastructure embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. It automates how over $275B in annualized spend moves in and out of 85,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books. The company says the median Ramp customer saves 7.5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year.

Ramp says it hires people with high agency and high urgency, looks for slope over intercept, and cares less about where you trained and more about what you have built.
