Our previous instructor helped thousands of students progress through clear explanations, an approachable teaching style, and a strong on-camera presence. We are now looking for a talented instructor who can step into this role and contribute to expanding our course library.

This opportunity is ideal for a confident guitar educator who enjoys teaching on camera, can work independently, and wants meaningful involvement in the full course creation process.

About the Role

In this position, you will be responsible for creating complete online guitar courses from concept to final production. Your work will include generating course ideas, designing lesson structures, filming lessons, and collaborating with our video editor to deliver high-quality finished courses.

You will play an important role in shaping the learning experience for students within the National Guitar Academy community.

These additional activities are optional.

 • Experience teaching beginner guitar students
 • Ability to record high-quality video and audio from a home setup

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience creating online courses
 • A distinctive teaching method or niche expertise
 • Experience teaching older learners (55+)
 • Ability to write simple educational or marketing content
 • Experience teaching blues, classic rock, acoustic guitar, fingerstyle, or beginner-focused material

Role Structure and Compensation

This is an hourly paid remote role that forms a core part of the Academy’s course creation process.

Rather than short-term projects, the instructor will typically manage one or two courses at a time, overseeing the entire process from planning and lesson design to filming and final delivery.

The position is fully remote with a flexible schedule, allowing you to manage your own workflow while meeting project milestones and deadlines.

Work hours will vary depending on the stage of course production, with more time required during filming and less during planning or editing phases.

Many instructors in this role also maintain other professional commitments such as private guitar lessons or other music-related work.

The position will begin as a contract role, with the potential to grow into a long-term collaboration.

Hourly compensation will be determined based on experience, teaching ability, and on-camera presentation, and will be finalized during the interview process.

National Guitar Academy values long-term partnerships and offers competitive compensation for educators who deliver high-quality learning experiences.

How to Apply

To apply, please create a short 2–3 minute video introduction and send it to:

jobs@nationalguitaracademy.com

In the video, introduce yourself and explain a guitar concept that demonstrates your unique teaching style and helps students learn more effectively.

An example from National Guitar Academy is Mike’s “stepping stone chords” approach, which helps beginners learn chords more quickly.

The video does not need to be professionally produced. The goal is simply to see your on-camera presence and teaching style.
