Women's Mental Health Therapist - Massachusetts

FamilyWell Health is hiring a remote therapist to provide individual tele-therapy to patients in Massachusetts. The role is part-time, 10 to 30 hours per week, on a 1099 contractor basis, and it focuses on pregnant, postpartum, and menopausal patients. You would work through FamilyWell's virtual platform as part of a care team that is embedded in OB/Gyn and Family Medicine practices.

What you will do

• Provide individual tele-therapy to patients who request regular sessions using FamilyWell's virtual platform.
• Conduct one-on-one psychological intakes for referred FamilyWell program patients, gathering assessments to inform treatment planning.
• Document patient progress and share treatment recommendations with medical providers, psychiatric consultants, and other treating professionals as needed.
• Facilitate treatment plan modifications for patients who need more intensive or specialized mental health care, with timely interventions.
• Develop and deliver Care Plans after sessions, giving patients actionable insights and follow-up steps.

What they are looking for

• A licensed mental health provider with an active license in Massachusetts. Applicants must be able to practice independently, without supervision.
• Qualifying licenses include Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT), and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
• Formal perinatal, peri, or menopause mental health training, or at least one year of clinical experience with pregnant and/or postpartum and/or peri/menopause patients, is strongly preferred.
• Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C) from Postpartum Support International is recommended but not required.
• Proof of certification in treating the peri/menopause population is recommended but not required.
• Proficiency with tele-therapy platforms and virtual care delivery.
• Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
• A commitment to patient-centered care and to improving women's mental healthcare delivery, especially for vulnerable patient populations.

Pay and hours

This is a part-time, 1099 contractor role of 10 to 30 hours per week. Compensation is $80 per 60-minute session, inclusive of intake and follow-up, plus a 2-hour allotment per month for administrative work.
