Job Summary: Production Support Principal Associate 

We are looking for a Production Support Principal Associate to join our Capital One Software Support team in a fast-paced SaaS environment. You’ll play a vital role in maintaining the reliability, performance, and stability of our cloud-based solutions. This position is ideal for someone with strong technical troubleshooting experience, a passion for automation, and a commitment to customer success.  

Key Responsibilities 

  • Provide advanced technical support for complex system and application issues.

  • Support and troubleshoot microservices-based applications.

  • Write and execute SQL scripts for data extraction and analysis.

  • Diagnose and resolve software issues efficiently while meeting SLAs.

  • Monitor system performance and proactively detect potential issues.

  • Maintain detailed documentation for troubleshooting and system configurations.

  • Collaborate closely with development, product, and platform teams to resolve technical challenges.

  • Participate in on-call rotations and respond quickly to critical incidents.

  • Identify automation opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce manual workloads.

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through professional, timely communication.

Basic Qualifications
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

  • 4+ years of experience in system engineering.

  • 3+ years of experience in software troubleshooting or customer support.

Preferred Qualifications
 

  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Bash.

  • 3+ years of experience with public cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).

  • 2+ years of experience using monitoring tools like AWS CloudWatch, Splunk, New Relic, or SolarWinds.

  • Familiarity with SaaS environments and DevOps principles.
