Denodo Developer

UrbanSoft SA is hiring a Denodo Developer in South Africa. The role is for someone with proven experience building data virtualization solutions in Denodo, who can design and maintain data views, models, and services, and who works well with data architects, analysts, and other development teams. You will also tune Denodo environments for performance, handle security and governance requirements, and support the systems once they are running.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and implement data virtualization solutions using Denodo.
• Create and maintain data views, models, and data services to meet business requirements.
• Optimize and tune Denodo configurations for performance.
• Work with data architects, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand and define data integration requirements.
• Integrate Denodo solutions with existing systems and applications alongside other development teams.
• Monitor and analyze the performance of Denodo environments, then identify and apply optimization techniques.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for data virtualization solutions, including best practices and guidelines for Denodo development and usage.
• Implement and follow security standards for data virtualization, and ensure compliance with data governance policies and regulations.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Denodo-related issues.
• Work with the support team to resolve incidents and keep systems stable.

What they are looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Denodo Developer or in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of data virtualization concepts and best practices.
• Strong SQL and relational database skills.
• Experience with performance tuning and optimization of Denodo environments.
• Familiarity with data integration tools and methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Certification in Denodo is a plus.

Preferred skills

• Experience with other data integration and ETL tools.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and integration with Denodo.
• Familiarity with Big Data technologies.
• Understanding of data governance principles.
