Role Overview 

We’re hiring a Product Designer to lead the UI and UX direction for TimeZest as we enter our next phase of growth. 

In this role, you’ll take full ownership of our design system and component library, guiding how it evolves alongside the product. You’ll collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to translate user needs into intuitive, well-crafted experiences that delight customers. 

We’re looking for a strong product designer with a keen eye for visual design, a deep understanding of UX principles, and the ability to balance user needs with business objectives. You should be curious, collaborative, and comfortable owning the design function within a product team. 

What You’ll Do 

  • Own the product design function and set the overall UI/UX direction for TimeZest.
  •  Evolve and maintain the design system and component library to ensure consistency and scalability.
  •  Design complete user journeys, from discovery and wireframes to high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes.
  •  Work closely with product managers and engineers to take features from concept through to production.
  •  Conduct user research and usability testing to validate designs and guide product decisions.
  •  Help shape AI-powered experiences by designing responsible, user-friendly AI-assisted workflows.
  •  Maintain well-structured Figma files to enable smooth handoff to engineering teams. 


What We’re Looking For 

  • At least 4 years of professional experience in product design, ideally within B2B SaaS.
  •  A strong portfolio showcasing polished visual design and thoughtful UX problem-solving.
  •  Deep expertise with Figma, including component libraries, auto layout, and design tokens.
  •  Experience with prototyping tools such as Figma prototyping, Framer, Principle, or similar.
  •  Proven experience building and maintaining design systems.
  •  Strong understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
  •  Excellent collaboration and communication skills within a fully remote, async-friendly environment. 


Our Stack 

Ruby on Rails 8, PostgreSQL, Sidekiq, TypeScript, React, Redux, Tailwind, all deployed on Heroku. 

Nice to Have 

Frontend development experience (HTML, CSS, React) to prototype in code or collaborate more deeply with engineers.
 Experience using large language models (LLMs) to convert designs into code or enhance your design workflow.

This is a permanent, full-time remote position with monthly salary payments. You can be based anywhere in the world, as long as you can overlap 2–3 hours with the engineering team.
