The Role 

silverorange is hiring an Intermediate Full-Stack Python Web Developer to join its growing team. The company values individuals who take ownership of their work and show curiosity, motivation, and a willingness to learn. Practical impact and the ability to contribute are considered more important than years of experience alone. 

This position is open immediately, and onboarding can begin as soon as you are ready.  

Key Responsibilities 

  • Build and enhance features across Python-based applications using CSS and vanilla JavaScript

  • Review and contribute to code and content changes across active projects

  • Implement designs using Figma mockups, wireframes, and design systems

  • Collaborate with team members and clients to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions

  • Identify and help resolve accessibility issues across web and mobile platforms

  • Write and maintain automated tests for implemented features

Required Qualifications
 

  • Legal eligibility and availability to work from Canada

  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and tools

  • Solid understanding of core web technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

  • Hands-on experience with Python for web development

  • Experience using Git or similar version control systems

  • Experience working on moderately complex, integrated software systems

  • Proven experience collaborating within development teams

  • Familiarity with testing practices and continuous integration workflows

  • Strong communication skills for working across time zones with distributed teams

Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Skills
 

  • API development using Node.js and Express

  • Experience with React and TypeScript

  • Familiarity with Salesforce

  • Experience working with Wagtail CMS

  • Prior project or product leadership experience

Remote Work Culture
 
silverorange has supported remote work for over two decades and has operated as a remote-first company for the past ten years. This is a full-time remote role, with optional access to offices in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada.
 
Most team members and clients work remotely, so comfort with distributed collaboration is essential. Team members typically spend at least one week per year working from the Charlottetown office.
 
Even in a remote setup, you’ll be closely connected with a small but growing team through regular video and voice communication.
