Position Overview 

silverorange is seeking an Intermediate Front-End Web Developer to join its growing team. This role is ideal for a developer with strong CSS expertise and a genuine passion for web performance and accessibility. The company values ownership, curiosity, and a willingness to learn over rigid experience requirements. The position is open immediately, with flexible onboarding to help you get started quickly.  

Key Responsibilities 

  • Develop and enhance front-end features across React, Python, and PHP-based web platforms

  • Build responsive, accessible interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

  • Collaborate with designers using Figma mockups, wireframes, and design systems

  • Review and contribute to code changes across team projects

  • Stay current with front-end trends and share insights with the team

  • Identify and resolve performance and accessibility issues across web and mobile platforms

  • Communicate with team members and clients to balance technical and business requirements

  • Write and maintain tests for implemented features

Required Skills & Qualifications
 

  • Eligibility to work from Canada

  • Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals

  • Familiarity with modern frameworks and libraries such as React

  • Experience using Git or similar version control systems

  • Ability to work within complex, integrated systems

  • Experience collaborating on features in team environments

  • Exposure to testing and CI/CD workflows

  • Strong communication skills for working with distributed teams across multiple time zones

Nice-to-Have Skills
 

  • Experience building or working with design systems

  • Backend API development with Node.js or Express

  • Experience with Vue, React, or Angular

  • Asset optimization and export workflows from Figma (SVG/PNG)

  • Salesforce experience

  • Previous leadership experience in technical or product roles

Remote Work Culture

This is a full-time remote role, though optional office space is available in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada. Team members collaborate remotely with colleagues and clients across regions and typically spend at least one week annually working from the Charlottetown office.
