Role Overview

MarketerX is seeking an experienced Senior DevOps / Security Engineer to join its founding engineering team. This role goes beyond traditional DevOps responsibilities. You will play a key role in designing and managing the infrastructure that powers the company’s AI-driven marketing platform.

As the first dedicated DevOps and security specialist on the team, you will have the opportunity to build the company’s infrastructure from the ground up, ensuring that the platform remains secure, scalable, and highly reliable as the business grows.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will design and implement a scalable cloud infrastructure using AWS and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation. You will create automated CI/CD pipelines that allow the engineering team to deploy AI models and applications quickly and securely.

You will also establish a strong security framework to protect customer data and ensure compliance with industry standards such as SOC2 and GDPR. Another key responsibility will be optimizing system performance and scalability to support the onboarding of thousands of new customers.

Additionally, you will implement advanced monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to provide deep visibility into infrastructure health and enable proactive issue detection and resolution.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or cloud infrastructure roles and brings a security-first mindset to infrastructure design and operations.

Strong expertise with cloud platforms (preferably AWS), containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, and Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or Ansible is essential.

You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment, capable of building systems from the ground up, and excited about contributing to a mission-driven team focused on transforming the future of marketing technology.
