Services Engagement Manager - Development Cloud

Veeva Systems is hiring a Services Engagement Manager for its Development Cloud group. This is a remote, full-time role for someone with a background in software implementation who can design professional services engagements and sell their value to life sciences customers. You will work with internal teams and customer leadership, and the job is open to candidates based in North America.

What you will do

• Educate customers on Veeva's professional services methodology and set expectations about what the team can and will not do.
• Define the right services model for each customer based on their needs and business objectives, through proposals, statements of work, and RFx responses.
• Work with stakeholders across sales, strategy, services, business consulting, and solutions consulting to shape engagement approach and positioning.
• Own a high-volume pipeline with consistent execution, speed, data management, and communication from internal associates to customer executives.
• Provide thought partnership across the business and drive results without a direct reporting structure, handling conflict with diplomacy.

What they are looking for

• 3+ years delivering software implementation and enhancement projects in roles such as program manager, project manager, functional or business analyst, or practice manager.
• 1+ years scoping or defining project plans, resource models, and negotiating statements of work for software implementation projects is a plus.
• Background in life sciences, health care, or tech is preferred. Experience with clinical operations, pharmacovigilance, or regulatory information management (RIM) software is a plus.
• A problem-solving, customer service mindset for positioning and selling professional services, with consulting, tech sales, or program and project management experience.
• Based in North America, able to work across time zones and travel when required, roughly 10-15%.

Location and travel

This is a remote, full-time permanent role with Veeva. It is customer-facing, and there is no work location requirement if you are close to an airport and can meet travel requirements when they come up. Pay and benefits

The base pay range is $85,000 to $170,000 per year. Actual salaries may fall above or below that range depending on experience and location, and the offer is based on your qualifications, experience, and expected contributions. The role may also be eligible for other compensation such as a variable bonus or stock bonus.

Interview process

After all interviews, the manager will be in touch with a final decision.
