Managing Editor Remote

As a Managing Editor, you will take charge of client accounts and work closely with internal teams to create and implement effective content strategies. This role is fully remote, with the flexibility to work from anywhere, as long as there’s a 4-hour overlap with the U.S. Pacific Time Zone. 

You’ll collaborate with a Research Specialist for market insights, a GTM Strategist to align content with marketing goals, and freelance experts in SEO and technical writing. Additionally, you'll have the support of our Automation Team to scale content creation efficiently. 

What You’ll Be Doing 

Your daily work will be a blend of strategic planning, hands-on content creation, and client management. Here’s how your week might look: 

  • Client Engagement (20%) – Communicate regularly with clients to understand their goals and align strategies. 
  • Content Strategy (20%) – Develop comprehensive content plans tailored to client objectives. 
  • Content Creation & Editing (40%) – Leverage AI workflows and hands-on editing to produce engaging content. 
  • Project Management (15%) – Oversee projects, manage timelines, and coordinate with internal teams and freelancers. 
  • Team Collaboration (5%) – Share insights and feedback to continuously improve content processes. 

What You Bring to the Table 

  • Content Strategy Expertise: Proven experience in crafting and executing content strategies that drive engagement and results. 
  • Client-Focused Mindset: Ability to understand client needs and adapt strategies accordingly. 
  • SEO Knowledge: Proficient in SEO techniques, including technical SEO, on-page, and off-page optimization. 
  • Project Management Skills: Organized and efficient in managing multiple projects and deadlines. 
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with tools like Google Analytics, Ahrefs, STAT, SEMrush, and content design tools such as Figma or Photoshop
  • Data-Driven Thinking: Strong analytical skills to derive insights and improve strategies. 

Bonus Skills 

  • Experience with AI-powered content tools 
  • Knowledge of prompt engineering 
  • Familiarity with design platforms like Figma, Photoshop, or Midjourney
