Your Role – Build & Shape the Future of Our AI Platform

We are seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer with a strong product-first mindset and an eye for intuitive UX design. As our first product engineer, you’ll take ownership of our internal AI-driven platform, working closely with the CTO and leadership team to lay the foundation for scalable growth.

This is a fully remote position, but requires at least 4 hours of overlap with US Pacific Time.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop & Maintain Core Features: Build and refine React (TypeScript) and Ruby on Rails applications to enhance internal workflows.
  
  
• Architect Scalable Systems: Design and deploy backend infrastructure to support AI-powered content and automation tools.
  
  
• Enhance UI & UX: Convert whiteboard sketches into high-quality, production-ready user interfaces.
  
  
• Optimize Development Workflows: Utilize AI-enhanced tools like Cursor and Windsurf to boost efficiency.
  
  
• Support Marketing & Content Teams: Develop small coding solutions to improve marketing and SEO efforts.
  
  
• Implement & Manage AI Workflows: Collaborate with the team to enhance AI-driven automation (no prior AI experience required, but willingness to learn is essential).
  
  

What You Bring to the Team

Essential Skills & Experience

• Full-Stack Development: Strong expertise in React (TypeScript) and Ruby on Rails (Python experience is a plus).
  
  
• AI Enthusiast: Passion for GenAI, LLMs, and AI-driven development with experience in tools like Cursor or Windsurf.
  
  
• UX & UI Focused: Ability to design and build clean, user-friendly interfaces.
  
  
• Self-Starter Mentality: Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision, setting priorities, and driving projects.
  
  
• Effective Communicator: Strong remote communication skills to keep the team aligned and informed.
  
  
• Practical Problem-Solver: A pragmatic approach to delivering impact rather than over-engineering solutions.

• Experience with PostgreSQL, Tailwind, or Shadcn.
  
  
• Hands-on experience building end-to-end projects or side projects.

How You’ll Spend a Typical Week

• 15% – Collaborate with founders to brainstorm and refine new features.
  
  
• 10% – Create and iterate on wireframes and UX concepts before development.
  
  
• 10% – Work closely with the content team to understand their workflow needs.
  
  
• 30% – Code in React (Shadcn) to build frontend experiences.
  
  
• 25% – Develop and optimize backend systems using Ruby on Rails & Postgres.
  
  
• 10% – Update progress, manage tasks, and ensure alignment in Basecamp.
