Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer (Python) to design, build, and scale high-performance backend systems. You’ll work on APIs, distributed systems, and data-heavy applications powering millions of daily events in a fully remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend systems and APIs
  
  
• Build and launch new product features and integrations
  
  
• Improve performance, reliability, and scalability of services
  
  
• Work with large datasets and high-throughput systems
  
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, design, frontend)
  
  
• Enhance real-time systems and messaging infrastructure
  
  
• Integrate AI-powered features into the platform
  
  

Tech Stack

• Backend: Python (Flask), Task queues
  
  
• Databases: MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Redis
  
  
• Infrastructure: AWS (EKS, RDS, MSK, EC2), Docker, Kubernetes
  
  
• CI/CD: Automated pipelines with Docker & Kubernetes
  
  
• Tools: Terraform, Ansible, GraphQL, REST APIs
  
  

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development experience (8+ for senior/staff roles)
  
  
• Strong Python skills (or willingness to work with Python)
  
  
• Experience building high-scale APIs and distributed systems
  
  
• Hands-on experience with modern databases and cloud infrastructure
  
  
• Ability to optimize system performance and reliability
  
  
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
  
  
• Must be based in the USA
