As we scale, we are building a world-class creative and marketing team to power CAKES’ next phase of growth through storytelling, social-first creativity, and viral digital moments.  

Role: Digital Ad Editor 

This is a freelance, project-based (approx. 10 hours/week), remote-friendly role. As a Digital Ad Editor at CAKES Body, you will be responsible for crafting and refining our digital advertising content across paid social, organic social, landing pages, and short-form videos. 

You’ll collaborate closely with the founders, creative team, and performance marketing team to transform raw ideas, scripts, and product insights into high-performing, scroll-stopping ads. You will help ensure that every piece of content reflects CAKES’ signature tone—bold, playful, clear, and rooted in genuine customer insights. 

Your work will involve tightening scripts, editing ad copy, managing content workflows, optimizing creative for performance, and maintaining brand consistency across all channels. You will play a key part in elevating the creative quality that drives CAKES’ continued growth.  

Qualifications 

  • Strong editorial judgment and exceptional writing skills, with the ability to turn raw ideas into sharp, compelling ad content

  • Experience in content strategy or content management, ideally within a fast-paced DTC or social-first environment

  • Deep knowledge of short-form video and current paid social trends, plus an understanding of how to structure content for high engagement

  • Familiarity with Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and other ad platforms (performance marketing experience is a plus)

  • Ability to multitask, meet tight deadlines, and maintain a high level of organization

  • Excellent communication skills and comfort collaborating closely with founders and creative teams

  • Detail-oriented, creative, and passionate about storytelling and digital culture

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or equivalent experience
