Position: Cloud Security Engineer

Role Overview 

XM is seeking a skilled Cloud Security Engineer with experience in AWS to strengthen our growing team. This role is crucial for maintaining the security and resilience of our cloud infrastructure while proactively preventing security threats.  

Key Responsibilities 

• Design and build secure, resilient cloud infrastructures
  
  
• Develop and assess security solutions for systems, databases, and networks
  
  
• Conduct security assessments and recommend appropriate controls
  
  
• Monitor logs and perform vulnerability assessments to detect threats
  
  
• Contribute to the development of cloud security policies and standards
  
  
• Create technical and managerial security reports
  
  
• Implement and test network and security disaster recovery procedures
  
  
• Monitor sensitive data usage and regulate access
  
  
• Ensure data confidentiality and integrity during transmission, storage, and processing
  
  
• Address security procedure violations and prevent recurrence
  
  
• Provide user support for network and security-related issues
  
  

Requirements
 

• BSc/MSc in Information Security or related field
  
  
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Information Security, focusing on Cloud Security
  
  
• Strong technical knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  
  
• Experience with AWS services like IAM, VPC, SSO, S3, EC2, RDS, ELB, CloudTrail, and others
  
  
• Familiarity with current threats to cloud infrastructure
  
  
• Knowledge of DevSecOps methodologies (preferred)
  
  
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform preferred)
  
  
• Expertise in container security (a plus)
  
  
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  
  
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  
  
• Quick learner with a passion for new technologies
