We are seeking an experienced Digital Analytics Engineer with strong expertise in Google Tag Manager (GTM) and Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to manage and optimize tracking for a custom-built platform. In this role, you will take full ownership of the analytics implementation, ensuring that all tracking systems are accurate, reliable, and capable of delivering meaningful data insights.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys transforming complex or inconsistent tracking setups into well-structured, dependable analytics systems.
Key Responsibilities
Your primary responsibility will be to review and audit the current tracking implementation and identify gaps throughout the entire customer journey—from landing pages to final conversions. You will design and implement a complete end-to-end tracking system that captures key user interactions and conversion events.
You will configure and manage event tracking through Google Tag Manager, including the implementation and validation of conversion events related to purchases. The role also involves securely capturing user data for Enhanced Conversions and ensuring seamless data flow between GTM, GA4, and Google Ads.
Additionally, you will conduct thorough testing and quality assurance to ensure tracking accuracy and data reliability across all platforms.
Requirements
Candidates should have proven experience implementing GA4 and GTM tracking on custom-built websites. A strong understanding of dataLayer architecture and event-based tracking systems is essential.
You should also have hands-on experience with Enhanced Conversions, as well as the ability to debug and validate tracking configurations using analytics and advertising tools. The role requires someone who can work independently and clearly communicate technical findings and solutions.
Preferred Experience
Experience working with marketplaces or two-sided platforms is a plus. Familiarity with subscription-based funnels, payment tracking systems, and attribution optimization for paid advertising campaigns will also be beneficial.
