About the Role

We are looking for a Lead Engineer to take full ownership of our engineering function, lead product development, and shape the future of our technology stack. This role requires a strategic thinker who is hands-on, capable of wearing multiple hats, and comfortable balancing high-level planning with execution. You'll be responsible for architecting, developing, and scaling our core systems, ensuring security, efficiency, and seamless performance. This is an opportunity to have a direct impact on the product and grow into a CTO or senior leadership role as we scale.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Engineering Management

• Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing front-end & back-end engineering team.
  
  
• Drive the architecture and development of microservices, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability.
  
  
• Make strategic decisions on technology stack, tools, and platforms.
  
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business goals.
  
  
• Identify and resolve complex technical challenges, providing expert guidance and solutions.
  
  

Backend Development

• Design and develop a scalable REST API using Go (Golang).
  
  
• Implement core payment processing modules, including user management, credit card transactions, and ACH payments.
  
  
• Ensure API compatibility with Web and Mobile applications.
  
  

Frontend Development

• Develop a responsive web application using React.
  
  
• Work closely with UI/UX designers to create user-friendly interfaces for customer-facing and admin applications.
  
  

Infrastructure & DevOps

• Deploy applications on AWS or other cloud services.
  
  
• Set up CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for efficient development workflows.
  
  

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in full-stack software development.
  
  
• Expertise in GoLang and Node.js.
  
  
• Proficiency in React or Vue.js for front-end development.
  
  
• Experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL preferred) and API design.
  
  
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  
  
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment.
  
  
• Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset.
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience with payment platforms and fintech solutions.
  
  
• Proficiency in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and automation.
  
  
• Knowledge of IoT integrations and NFC technologies.
  
  
• Familiarity with mobile app development (iOS & Android).
  
  
• Hands-on experience with Stripe API integration.
