As the company continues to grow, TARA Media is seeking a Business Development Associate (BDA) – Media Sales to help expand its client base. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and developing a strong sales pipeline for the agency. 

Role Overview 

The Business Development Associate will play an important role in generating new leads and qualifying potential clients through outbound outreach. You will work closely with the sales and leadership teams to support the agency’s growth by creating consistent opportunities and strengthening early-stage client relationships. 

Key Responsibilities 

Pipeline Development 

  • Research and identify potential clients that match the agency’s target market

  • Build prospect lists across key industries and accounts

  • Develop and manage outreach strategies through email, LinkedIn, referrals, and events

Lead Generation & Prospecting
 

  • Initiate conversations with potential clients and decision-makers

  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads to assess potential opportunities

  • Schedule discovery calls and introductory meetings for the sales team

Relationship Building
 

  • Build relationships with marketing leaders and business decision-makers

  • Clearly communicate the agency’s services and value proposition

  • Maintain consistent follow-ups and nurture early sales opportunities

Sales Process & CRM Management
 

  • Maintain accurate records of prospects and leads in CRM systems such as HubSpot or Salesforce

  • Monitor outreach performance and improve messaging strategies

  • Collaborate with leadership to refine sales approaches and positioning

Market Research
 

  • Track industry trends and competitor activities

  • Identify new opportunities for agency growth in different sectors

  • Provide feedback on client needs, market demand, and service offerings

Requirements
 

  • 2–5 years of experience in business development, sales development, or agency sales

  • Experience generating leads through outbound prospecting

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple prospects simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications
 

  • Experience working in digital marketing, advertising, or media agencies

  • Familiarity with CRM tools like HubSpot or Salesforce

  • Experience selling marketing services, SaaS, or consulting solutions

  • Experience using LinkedIn Sales Navigator or similar prospecting tools

  • Base Salary: $55,000 – $75,000 per year + commission
