We’re hiring a Full Stack Engineer who is comfortable working across the entire stack and has hands-on experience using AI-assisted coding tools. You’ll help build a new SaaS product that simplifies accounting and tax processes, owning features end-to-end—from database design to user interface—and contributing to the integration of AI capabilities across the platform.

Because product leadership is primarily based in the U.S., availability during some U.S. business hours (East Coast) is required. The interviewing team is based in Sydney, Australia.

What You’ll Work On

You’ll design and ship features that tax professionals rely on every day. This includes writing clean, maintainable code across frontend and backend systems, collaborating closely with product and design partners, and bringing AI-powered functionality into production. We’re looking for someone who can move quickly, solve problems independently, and deliver reliable, user-focused solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain features across the full stack, including frontend interfaces, backend services, and databases
  
  
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services
  
  
• Develop responsive, high-performance user interfaces using modern frontend frameworks
  
  
• Integrate AI/ML capabilities, including working with LLMs, embeddings, and AI APIs
  
  
• Write clean, tested, and well-documented code
  
  
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices
  
  
• Collaborate with product and design teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
  
  
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the stack
  
  
• Optimize application performance and scalability
  
  
• Stay current with emerging technologies, particularly in AI and developer tooling
  
  

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional software development experience
  
  
• Strong frontend experience with frameworks such as React, Vue, or similar
  
  
• Strong backend experience with Node.js, Python, Go, or similar
  
  
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases
  
  
• Hands-on experience integrating AI/ML services (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar APIs)
  
  
• Understanding of prompt engineering, embeddings, vector databases, and RAG architectures
  
  
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
  
  
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices
  
  
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
  
  
• Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate with non-technical stakeholders
  
  
• Experience building and shipping features quickly using AI-assisted workflows (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot)

• Experience fine-tuning models or working with ML pipelines
