SavvyNomad U.S.
Content Manager (Video-First)

SavvyNomad supports Americans living abroad by helping them stay connected to the U.S. financial and legal system, legally reduce their U.S. tax burden, and stay organized—so they can enjoy life overseas with confidence and keep more money in their pocket. We build simple, dependable tools and pair them with fast, empathetic customer support to make complex cross-border matters easier to manage.

The Role (Why We’re Hiring)

We’ve built strong momentum with our YouTube channel, a proven production setup, and a talented lead creator. The next step is to expand beyond a single face and scale content across multiple creators and formats—without losing quality, accuracy, or brand consistency. This is a video-first role focused on long-form YouTube and short-form video. Experimentation with newsletters or blogs is welcome, but video is the priority.

What You’ll Own

1) Scaling Across Multiple Creators

  • Source, recruit, and onboard new creators (freelancers, collaborators, and partners)

  • Create clear playbooks so new creators can publish quickly and consistently (topics, briefs, scripts, brand voice)

  • Maintain a cohesive brand voice while allowing each creator to keep their unique on-camera style

2) Content Strategy & Programming

  • Translate business goals into a clear content strategy with defined pillars, series, formats, and a scalable content calendar

  • Own ideation and prioritization, including planning and running experiments

  • Ensure content remains aligned with our mission and core audience: Americans living abroad

3) Production Operations (Async-First)

  • Own the end-to-end content workflow: brief → scripting support → recording → review → publishing → distribution → post-mortems

  • Build lightweight processes and documentation to keep production moving with minimal meetings

  • Uphold quality standards for accuracy, clarity, brand voice, and viewer experience

Note: Our current lead creator manages the editing agency and thumbnail designer. You’ll work closely with them, but your primary responsibility is scaling the creator network, content systems, programming, and outcomes.

4) Performance & Experimentation

  • Run structured experiments across topics, formats, hooks, packaging, cadence, and series

  • Use YouTube Studio and simple reporting to understand what’s working and why

  • Turn insights into action by improving titles, thumbnails, openings, pacing, structure, and repurposing

5) Repurposing & Distribution

  • Build a repeatable system to turn long-form videos into multiple short-form clips

  • Support distribution across platforms where relevant (YouTube Shorts first; others optional)

What Success Looks Like (First 60–90 Days)

  • A documented, repeatable, async-friendly production pipeline

  • A consistent and sustainable publishing cadence for long-form videos and shorts

  • At least one additional creator onboarded (or a ready-to-run onboarding pipeline)

  • A monthly experimentation rhythm with clear hypotheses, results, and decisions

  • Improved content consistency, steadier performance, and new customer growth driven by content

Who You Are

  • Autonomous: You take ownership, move work forward independently, and deliver without constant oversight

  • Async-native: You communicate clearly in writing, provide strong updates, and create useful documentation across time zones

  • Process + Taste: You can build systems and also recognize what makes content genuinely good

  • High standards, low ego: You give direct feedback, set clear expectations, and follow through

Requirements

  • 3+ years in content management, production, or content operations with meaningful responsibility for video

  • Experience scaling content production with repeatable systems and multi-stakeholder workflows

  • Strong YouTube fundamentals (hooks, retention, pacing, packaging, series thinking)

  • Excellent written and spoken English

  • Ability to overlap 2–4 hours per day with U.S. Eastern Time

Bonus Points

  • U.S. citizen or significant experience living in the U.S.

  • Digital nomad or expat background

  • Experience with accuracy-sensitive content (finance, tax, legal, health)

  • Ability to create content yourself (scripts, voiceover, on-camera, rough cuts), though not required

Compensation & Perks

  • Base salary: $40,000–$60,000 USD (based on experience)

  • Quarterly bonus: 10% of salary based on individual performance

  • Annual bonus: 10% if the company reaches a revenue milestone

  • Fully remote role

  • Annual team offsite (this year’s location: Iceland)

Interview Process

  • Async screening (written responses + short Loom-style video)

  • Call with a co-founder

  • Practical, role-relevant test assignment
