The Role
As a Senior Software Engineer in our Content Engineering team, you will be instrumental in building and maintaining the tools and platforms that power Netflix's vast library of global content. From idea to screen, you'll enable seamless workflows for our creative and technical partners while driving innovation in the entertainment industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices that support Netflix's content production and delivery ecosystem.
• Build and optimize APIs (gRPC, GraphQL, or RESTful) to deliver exceptional performance and reliability.
• Lead the architecture and implementation of distributed systems with a focus on high availability, fault tolerance, and low latency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical strategies, resolve challenges, and shape product direction.
• Share knowledge by clearly explaining complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders through written and verbal communication.
• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure system reliability and manage incident responses effectively.
• Contribute to and conduct technical reviews to uphold high engineering standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience designing and deploying scalable, distributed systems in production.
• Proficiency in Java, C#, or similar object-oriented programming languages, with expertise in multi-threading, concurrency, and performance tuning.
• Proven experience in creating resilient microservices and crafting well-designed APIs.
• A solid understanding of architectural principles, coupled with experience setting technical directions and driving impactful decisions.
• Exceptional communication skills, enabling you to articulate technical ideas and collaborate effectively.
