Role Overview – DevOps Engineer 

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our Platform Tribe—the backbone of Leonardo’s technology. This team supports everything from AI generation tools to enterprise APIs and mobile experiences. 

Leonardo’s engineering structure is organized into tribes and squads, each focused on specific product objectives. The Platform Tribe ensures the stability, scalability, and performance of the infrastructure across all product teams. 

As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll work closely within product squads to help deliver features faster and more securely while also contributing to the broader platform’s architecture, tooling, and standards. This role involves building scalable systems, automating infrastructure, and enhancing our CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth and reliable software delivery. 

You’ll rotate through various squads over time, allowing you to work with different technologies, solve complex challenges, and help shape the next generation of infrastructure for products used globally.

What You’ll Do 

• Build & Scale Infrastructure: Work across AWS, GCP, GCore, and Cloudflare to scale hybrid systems supporting AI workloads.
  
  
• Enhance GPU Infrastructure: Optimize and scale GPU-based systems for AI model training and inference.
  
  
• Improve CI/CD Pipelines: Collaborate with engineering teams to streamline deployments and improve development efficiency.
  
  
• Boost Observability: Enhance monitoring, alerting, and incident response capabilities.
  
  
• Integrate with Canva Systems: Support infrastructure alignment and shared tooling across Canva and Leonardo.
  
  
• Champion DevOps Standards: Maintain documentation, automation best practices, and reusable infrastructure patterns.
  
  
• Learn & Share: Participate in DevOps guilds, technical deep dives, and AI automation initiatives.
  
  

Preferred Skills & Experience
 

• Hands-on experience with AWS (ECS, EC2, S3, IAM) and familiarity with multi-cloud platforms (GCP, GCore, Cloudflare).
  
  
• Proficiency in Terraform or other IaC tools.
  
  
• Experience maintaining or building CI/CD pipelines.
  
  
• Solid understanding of Linux, containers, and cloud networking.
  
  
• Problem-solving mindset with strong communication and documentation habits.
  
  
• Team player who enjoys collaboration and continuous learning.
  
  
• Bonus: Experience with GPU infrastructure or AI-driven automation.
