What You’ll Do

  • Automate Operations: Use tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Helm to streamline infrastructure management.
  • Optimize Performance: Troubleshoot and enhance both VM and Kubernetes environments for reliability, security, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work with software engineers to improve development workflows and ensure seamless migration to containerized systems.
  • Develop CI/CD Pipelines: Build and manage pipelines to support both traditional VM-based and Kubernetes-based applications.
  • Monitor & Document: Maintain system health, document infrastructure changes, and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for critical alerts.

  • Databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Memcached
  • Search/Indexing: Elasticsearch
  • Infrastructure Tools: Terraform, Ansible

What You Bring

We’re looking for a professional with the following qualifications:

  • Experience: 7+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Systems Engineering roles.

  • Automation Skills: Proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, and Helm for managing infrastructure.
  • Linux Mastery: Strong skills in Linux administration, networking, and troubleshooting.
  • Cloud Knowledge: Proven experience with AWS or GCP, including managing VMs and containerized workloads.
  • CI/CD Pipelines: Experience building and maintaining pipelines for both VM-based and Kubernetes-based applications.
  • Communication: Ability to explain technical changes effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What Makes You Stand Out

While not required, the following skills are a bonus:

  • Familiarity with Ruby on Rails or Node.js.
  • Experience with service mesh technologies like Istio or Linkerd.
  • Knowledge of Prometheus for monitoring and alerting.
