Associate Manager, Influencer Marketing
Instacart · United States - Remote · posted 4 days ago
Instacart is hiring an Associate Manager, Influencer Marketing to build and scale a network of creators who can tell the brand's story through ongoing, creator-led content. The role is remote and reports to the Senior Manager, Influencer Marketing. It is for someone who knows the creator ecosystem well, already has relationships across it, and can run partnerships from outreach through reporting.
What you will do
- Build a consistent pipeline of 6–12 creator partnerships per month, creating a regular cadence of content across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and emerging platforms and formats.
- Bring trusted relationships with creators, talent managers, agents, and influencer agencies, and keep expanding that network to reach established and emerging talent.
- Own creator budgets, negotiations, contracting, usage rights, exclusivity, and performance tracking so programs launch on time, stay within budget, and meet defined goals.
- Set up measurement and reporting practices, and use performance insights to improve future partnerships.
- Work with Brand Marketing, Organic Social, Product Marketing, CPG Co-Marketing, Retail Marketing, Legal, and other teams to identify the right talent for campaigns, product launches, partnerships, and experiential moments.
- Identify emerging talent, formats, platforms, and cultural opportunities, using performance data, audience insights, and social trends.
How you will spend your time
- 80% Always-on creator partnerships: relationship management, content collaboration, organic and paid content pipeline, giveaways, organic social initiatives.
- 10% Trend spotting: emerging creator culture, platform trend forecasting, finding new creators and formats, and turning those insights into timely partnership ideas.
- 10% Experiential support: the creator components of experiential programs throughout the year.
What they are looking for
- You follow creator culture closely and have a strong instinct for spotting talent early.
- You build relationships with creators, talent managers, agents, agencies, and industry partners, and turn connections into repeatable opportunities.
- You are comfortable with creator rates, negotiations, deliverables, usage, exclusivity, and budgets.
- You can take a fast-moving project from idea to launch, manage multiple creators and workstreams, and build processes that make work easier to scale.
- You share updates proactively, flag risks early, and keep partners clear on where things stand.
- You see creators as more than a channel and can connect a creator opportunity to the business goal it supports.
- You work well at the pace of culture and across Social, Brand, Creative, and Legal teams.
Minimum requirements
- 5–6 years of experience in influencer marketing, creator partnerships, social media, experiential, or a related marketing discipline.
- Experience independently managing creator partnerships or campaigns from talent identification and outreach through negotiation, contracting, content development, launch, and reporting.
- Strong knowledge of the creator and social landscape across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
- Experience negotiating creator partnerships and managing budgets, rates, deliverables, usage rights, and exclusivity.
- Established relationships across the creator ecosystem, including creators, talent managers, agents, and/or influencer agencies.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with experience managing multiple creators, timelines, budgets, and deliverables at once.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders and work cross-functionally.
Preferred experience
- Experience with creator management, measurement, or social intelligence platforms such as Dash Social.
- Familiarity with affiliate marketing and how creator partnerships can support it.
