As part of CoW DAO’s core team, you’ll help shape these critical products and contribute to the broader Ethereum and open-source ecosystems. 

About the Role: Lead Visual Designer 

We’re looking for an experienced Lead Visual Designer to elevate our brands and help mature design as a discipline within CoW DAO. 

This is a hands-on leadership role—a true player-coach position. You’ll spend most of your time crafting high-quality brand and marketing visuals while mentoring 1–2 designers and defining the standards that keep our design language bold, consistent, and unmistakably CoW.  

What You’ll Do 

• Set and evolve the creative vision for CoW DAO’s brands across all channels
  
  
• Produce high-impact marketing and brand assets, primarily for digital use (e.g., launch videos, social media, ads, swag, and print collateral)
  
  
• Coach and support a small design team through feedback, mentorship, and direction
  
  
• Ensure visual consistency between marketing assets and product interfaces
  
  
• Partner with product designers as a sounding board and step in when extra hands are needed
  
  
• Build a culture of learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the design team
  
  
• Help structure and scale the design function by identifying gaps, managing resources against a roadmap, and improving processes
  
  

Who You Are
 

• 5+ years of experience as a Senior Visual Designer
  
  
• Deep passion for design, a high bar for quality, and a growth-oriented mindset
  
  
• Prior experience mentoring designers or leading small creative teams
  
  
• Advanced proficiency with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, design systems, and remote collaboration workflows
  
  
• Working knowledge of UI/UX and motion design
  
  
• Comfortable being hands-on and adapting to new challenges as needed
  
  
• Experience working in tech environments with distributed teams and digital-first workflows
  
  
• Strong collaborator with the ability to prioritize effectively and make thoughtful trade-offs
  
  
• Data-aware, using insights and metrics to inform design decisions
  
  

Nice to Have
 

• Familiarity with Web3 or designing for crypto-native products
  
  
• Experience with motion tools such as After Effects, Rive, or Lottie
  
  
• Strong eye for color theory and visual styling
