We’re seeking a talented and dynamic video content creator to drive Canonical’s social media presence and bring our brand to life on screen.

Our social media channels connect millions of users to our products and community. With a focus on open-source engagement and creative communication, we’re building a space for tech enthusiasts, developers, and security experts to interact with Ubuntu and our latest innovations. In this role, you’ll help shape our video strategy and support our community-focused brand, growing our reach through high-quality, engaging video content.

What You'll Do:

• Craft engaging video storylines, managing the process from concept to delivery.
• Develop and optimize social media video content to boost audience growth and engagement.
• Collaborate with marketing teams to create fresh, engaging video concepts.
• Contribute to scalable video programs, researching tools and piloting new ideas.
• Produce videos that resonate on platforms like LinkedIn, YouTube, and Instagram.
• Support video lifecycle management and social media best practices.

Ideal Skills and Experience:

• Strong portfolio of video content creation for social media.
• Proficient with video editing tools and familiar with social media platforms.
• Knowledge of web analytics tools like Google Analytics is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Planning and organization skills; experience with project management tools is a plus.
• Willing to travel up to four times per year for events.
