Customer Engagement Expert

Are you a quick thinker with strong communication skills and a desire to help people? ActivEngage is looking for Customer Engagement Experts (CEEs) to join our fully remote team. In this role, you will engage with customers via live chat, helping them find answers, make decisions, and enjoy an outstanding online experience.

This is not a script-based role. We’re looking for confident communicators who can personalize each interaction, build trust, and represent our client brands with professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage customers in real-time through live chat with personalized, timely responses

  • Use active listening and critical thinking to adapt conversations to each user’s needs

  • Participate in training and development to sharpen service and communication skills

  • Use internal tools such as Slack and Gmail to stay connected and responsive

  • Maintain camera-on participation during virtual team meetings

  • Collaborate with team leads and report any issues or trends

What You’ll Need:

  • Typing speed of 45+ words per minute

  • Strong grammar, spelling, and written communication skills

  • Multitasking ability (navigating screens while chatting)

  • Customer-first mindset with professionalism and attention to detail

  • Self-motivation and a career-focused attitude

  • Previous customer service experience (preferred)

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus

  • Availability for weekend shifts (post-training)

Technical Requirements:

  • Desktop PC or Mac with at least 4GB RAM (8GB preferred)

  • 2nd monitor, webcam (720p+), and noise-canceling headset

  • Hard-wired broadband connection (10mbps down / 2mbps up minimum)

  • Chrome browser, antivirus software, and firewall protection

  • A quiet, private home workspace

  3. Google Meet interview with our hiring team

Next training class starts August 18, 2025.
Training is 3 weeks, Monday–Friday, 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM (EST), remote via Google Meet.

Shifts Available After Training:

  • 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM

  • 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM

  • 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM
