It is a full-time remote position for someone with at least five years of clinical research experience in an academic, government, or pharmaceutical setting.
What you will do
- Manage the protocol optimization process: assemble project plans, teams, and work assignments, direct and monitor work, identify resource needs, review quality, and escalate functional, quality, and timeline issues.
- Manage investigator relationships.
- Assist or serve as consultation lead, determining priority discussion topics with investigators and organizing the panel of expert consultants for each project.
- Track consultations and resulting documentation through signature and approval processes and disseminate as appropriate.
- Apply project management processes to keep consultations on time and to high quality standards, so investigative teams end up with a well-prepared grant application or smooth implementation of consult and grant services.
- Serve as liaison and facilitate meetings between project stakeholders and leadership; maintain professional documentation for projects and deliverables, develop Standard Operating Procedures as needed, and assist in auditing and monitoring established workflows.
- Handle information with professional judgment and sensitivity to project team, individual, and organizational concerns.
- Use data, statistical and quantitative analysis, explanatory and predictive modeling, and fact-based management to drive decisions.
- Help investigators develop new insights into performance-based data during consultation and grant production.
- Lead and coordinate consultation activities, including pre-consult planning, multidisciplinary expert panels, and documentation of outcomes and recommendations.
- Manage end-to-end grant production: timeline development, stakeholder coordination, and preparation of submission-ready materials.
- Serve as liaison between investigators, institutional leadership, and external partners to support regulatory alignment and funding strategy.
- Develop and maintain workflows, SOPs, and tracking tools for consultation efficiency, documentation, and program performance.
- Analyze consultation and program data to generate reports and insights that inform leadership decisions and improvement efforts.
What they are looking for

- Knowledge of clinical research regulations (e.g., FDA, NIH, IRB) and grant submission processes.
