Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS)

What we are looking for:

•  At least 5 years of experience in a DevOps position, with strong hands-on expertise in AWS environments.
•  Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
•  Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools including Terraform, Ansible, or AWS CloudFormation.
•  Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies, especially Docker and Kubernetes.
•  Solid understanding of networking concepts, security principles, and application development practices.
•  Proven ability to design and maintain reliable build, deployment, and configuration management systems for multi-tier applications.
•  Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure challenges.
•  Strong communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
•  Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, ELK Stack, or Prometheus.
•  Availability within the CET time zone (+/- 3 hours); applications from other time zones cannot be considered. 

Nice-to-have:

•  AWS certifications (for example, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer).
•  Experience working in multi-cloud environments such as Azure or GCP.
•  Familiarity with serverless architectures and tools like AWS SAM or Serverless Framework.
•  Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
•  Experience with Agile workflows and DevSecOps practices.
•  Hands-on experience with service mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd.
•  Familiarity with GitOps tools like ArgoCD or Flux.
•  Experience supporting large-scale production systems.
•  Background in software development or site reliability engineering.
•  A strong interest in automation, scalability, and operational excellence. 

Responsibilities:

•  Design, deploy, and manage AWS-based cloud infrastructure to ensure high performance, reliability, and scalability.
•  Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable smooth and efficient application deployments.
•  Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or AWS CloudFormation.
•  Monitor and optimize cloud resources and applications to maintain high availability and performance.
•  Collaborate closely with development teams to embed DevOps practices throughout the delivery lifecycle.
•  Implement and enforce security best practices across cloud environments.
•  Manage backup strategies, disaster recovery processes, and business continuity planning.
