What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking experienced Full-Stack Ruby Engineers to join our talented team and contribute to our industry-leading music management platform. This is a full-time role offering a competitive salary of $100,000–$155,000, depending on experience. Remote candidates across the US are welcome, with an option to work from our Santa Monica office if preferred. 

Your Role at OpenPlay 
As a Full-Stack Ruby Engineer, you’ll: 

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications for the music industry. 
• Write and test high-quality Ruby code, following MVC principles. 
• Collaborate with a team of engineers and a UX designer to build intuitive features. 
• Engage in daily standups and weekly planning meetings to align on project goals. 
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring the team maintains best practices and clean code. 
• Deploy updates regularly using automated workflows with minimal downtime. 

 What We Expect From You 
We’re looking for candidates with: 

• Experience: At least two years of hands-on web development, covering both front-end and back-end. 
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Ruby (or Python with a willingness to learn Ruby), relational databases like PostgreSQL, and basic JavaScript. 
• Testing Skills: Familiarity with integration testing and test-driven development. 
• Problem Solving: A knack for identifying inefficiencies and suggesting improvements. 

 Our Tech Stack 

• Backend: Ruby, Sequel ORM, Sinatra, PostgreSQL. 
• Frontend: StimulusJS, HAML. 
• Infrastructure: CI/CD pipelines, WebSockets, cloud services like Heroku. 
• Additional Tools: Elasticsearch, DDEX XML, JSON APIs.
