Job Overview 

We are seeking a Remote Data Entry Clerk who will be responsible for maintaining accurate and well-organized data across our systems and databases. The ideal candidate will have strong typing skills, great attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment. This role plays a vital part in ensuring that company data remains accurate, organized, and accessible. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Enter data accurately into company databases and systems from various source documents within specified deadlines

  • Review and verify data to identify errors or inconsistencies and make necessary corrections

  • Compare entered data with source documents to ensure accuracy

  • Update existing records and retrieve database information when required

  • Perform regular system backups to safeguard important data

  • Maintain organized files and records for efficient data retrieval

  • Work with team members to resolve discrepancies related to data entry

  • Protect confidential and sensitive information by following data security procedures

Requirements
 

  • Previous experience as a Data Entry Clerk or in a similar role

  • Fast and accurate typing skills

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to detect errors

  • Proficiency in data entry tools and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)

  • Ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively

  • Good organizational and time management skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities

  • High school diploma or equivalent (additional data management certifications are a plus)

Preferred Qualifications
 

  • Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment

  • Understanding of data protection practices and security standards
