Apply by 21 October 2026 · 3 days left
micro1 is hiring Mergers & Acquisitions attorneys who currently practice at top-tier US law firms to work as contractors on a customer project. The work is remote and the location is listed as worldwide. You would use your deal and corporate law background to help train AI systems, not to practice law for clients. No prior AI experience is needed.
The role is built around applying what you already know about M&A, private equity, and corporate advisory work to legal material that AI models learn from. You would review and annotate scenarios, check datasets for legal accuracy, and give written feedback on reasoning and deal documents.
What you will do
- Analyze and annotate complex M&A and corporate law scenarios for AI model training.
- Conduct legal research on M&A, private equity transactions, and related litigation topics.
- Review, comment on, and refine datasets so they stay legally accurate and relevant to real practice.
- Work with multidisciplinary teams to give materials context and clarify legal nuances.
- Provide written insight and feedback on legal reasoning, transaction structures, and deal documentation.
- Join remote project discussions and take part in iterative quality assurance.
- Help develop evaluation rubrics and best practices when internal stakeholders ask for them.
What they are looking for
- A Juris Doctor from an accredited US law school and active bar admission in the United States.
- Experience as an M&A attorney at an Am Law 100 firm or another leading US law firm.
- A substantial track record in M&A transactions, private equity, and corporate advisory engagements.
- Strong litigation exposure, especially in corporate or transactional settings.
- A demonstrated ability to work across disciplines and explain complex legal concepts clearly.
- A background in legal research, drafting, and reviewing transaction documents.
- Comfort with remote collaboration tools and a commitment to careful, high-quality work.
Role details
This is a contractor position, not a full-time employee role. The location is remote, listed as worldwide. The listing does not state pay, hours, or a contract length.
