Join us as a Senior/Lead Shopify Developer on a short-term contract to build a high-quality Shopify Embedded Application. This role is fully remote, with flexible hours, and offers the opportunity to lead a talented team while collaborating closely with product and engineering leadership.

About the Role

We’re looking for a skilled Senior Shopify Developer to guide a team of developers in creating a Shopify app that adheres to Shopify's "Built for Shopify" guidelines. You’ll take charge of technical direction, manage milestones, and ensure smooth communication between the development team and leadership. This role requires both hands-on coding expertise and the ability to lead and mentor others.

What You’ll Do

Technical Leadership

• Break down project requirements and Figma designs into actionable milestones and tasks.
• Provide technical direction for the team and ensure adherence to Shopify development standards.

Team Management

• Lead and mentor a team of 2 Intermediate Developers.
• Offer technical guidance and support to help the team achieve project goals.

Project Oversight

• Collaborate with engineering and product leadership to align on project objectives.
• Provide regular updates on progress, address blockers, and communicate resource needs.
• Ensure all project milestones are delivered on time and within scope.

Development

• Actively contribute to coding and development tasks for Shopify's Embedded App ecosystem.
• Ensure the app complies with Shopify's App Design Guidelines and delivers an exceptional user experience.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: 5+ years in software development, with a strong focus on Shopify Embedded Apps.
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in:
  • Shopify CLI, App Bridge, Polaris, Shopify Admin API.
  • React, TypeScript, Shopify Remix, JavaScript.
  • REST APIs and GraphQL APIs.
• Shopify Knowledge: Deep familiarity with Shopify Partners Admin, App Setup, and "Built for Shopify" guidelines.
• Leadership Skills: Proven experience leading teams and managing projects in agile environments.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Communication: Effective written and verbal communication for remote collaboration.
