We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and fluent English-speaking Virtual Medical Biller to manage daily revenue cycle operations for our practice. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for end-to-end medical billing, accurate claims processing, payment follow-ups, and resolving claim denials.
Hands-on experience navigating Office Ally EMR and practice management software is required to ensure smooth billing workflows and timely reimbursement.
Working Environment & Core Schedule
- Role Title: Virtual Medical Biller
- Status: Full-Time (40 Hours / Week)
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST (Pacific Standard Time)
- Core Systems:Office Ally EMR & Practice Management, Clearinghouse Portals, Practice VoIP Phone System
- Primary Scope: Medical Billing, Claims Submission, Payment Follow-Up, Denial Management, and Accounts Receivable (AR) Support
Top 3 Daily Tasks
- Claims Submission & Processing: Batch, scrub, and submit primary and secondary claims electronically via Office Ally EMR, ensuring accurate ICD-10/CPT coding and demographic entry.
- Payment Follow-Up & AR Management: Monitor unpaid, pending, and rejected claims; contact insurance payors to resolve billing bottlenecks and accelerate reimbursement.
- Billing Support & Account Resolution: Post payments, resolve claim denials, issue clean resubmissions, and address general billing inquiries.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily claims submission and clearinghouse edits within Office Ally.
- Conduct systematic Accounts Receivable (AR) follow-up on outstanding insurance claims.
- Identify root causes for claim rejections and denials; process appeals and corrections promptly.
- Maintain clean documentation of payment postings, adjustment codes, and payor communications.
- Communicate effectively with insurance representatives, clinical teams, and patients regarding billing statuses.
Requirements
- Medical Billing Experience: Proven experience in U.S. medical billing, claims processing, payment posting, and denial management.
- Office Ally EMR Literacy: Direct hands-on experience navigating Office Ally EMR and clearinghouse platforms.
- Fluent English Communication: Excellent written and verbal English skills to communicate professionally with payor representatives and internal staff.
- Schedule Availability: Full availability to work 40 hours per week during Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST.
- HIPAA WFH Setup: Dedicated, private home office with a lockable door, high-speed primary internet, backup power/internet solutions, PC/Mac, and a noise-canceling headset.
