Senior Business Technology Product Manager- Supply Chain
Samsara · USA · posted 2 weeks ago
Samsara is hiring a Senior Business Technology Product Manager for Supply Chain. This is a remote role open to candidates in the US, except the San Francisco Bay Metro Area, NYC Metro Area, and Washington, D.C. Metro Area. The pay range is USD 131,198 – 198,450 per year.
The job is for someone who can define, build, and scale the technology behind Samsara's end-to-end supply chain operations. It sits where business strategy, product management, enterprise architecture, and new technology meet. You would turn supply chain problems into digital solutions: enterprise platforms, integrations, automation, AI workflows, and decision-support tools.
What you will do
- Set the multi-year product vision, strategy, target-state architecture, roadmap, and investment priorities for supply chain technology.
- Lead product strategy across a portfolio of enterprise supply chain systems, weighing business outcomes, customer needs, technical feasibility, scalability, and long-term value.
- Find operational friction and turn it into product, platform, automation, and AI solutions.
- Define success metrics and value realization frameworks across adoption, efficiency, cost savings, and operational performance.
- Own a functional portfolio spanning planning, procurement, order management, fulfillment, and reverse logistics.
- Analyze current-state processes, find root causes, and design future-state operating models and workflows.
- Translate supply chain processes into product capabilities, user journeys, system requirements, and integration patterns.
- Move the company from fragmented tools and manual processes toward connected supply chain platforms.
- Make sure ERP, planning, and analytics systems work together for reliable end-to-end operations.
- Define application, integration, data, and platform architecture across ERP, planning, analytics, and AI ecosystems.
- Lead technology evaluations, vendor assessments, and build-vs-buy decisions.
- Identify AI and automation opportunities, and define AI-enabled product strategies using LLMs, AI agents, agentic workflows, MCPs, predictive analytics, and optimization models.
- Take AI initiatives from experimentation through production deployment with Engineering, Data Science, and Architecture.
- Own the product lifecycle from ideation through deployment and ongoing improvement, including user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog prioritization.
- Build alignment across Supply Chain, Business Technology, Engineering, Data, Finance, Procurement, and Operations.
- Mentor product managers and technology partners.
- Track KPIs such as forecast accuracy, inventory turns, service levels, cycle time, automation rate, and cost savings.
What they are looking for
- 10+ years in Product Management, Supply Chain, Solutions Architecture, or Digital Transformation, with ownership of a functional domain or enterprise systems portfolio.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes: Design-to-Release, Forecast-to-Plan/Build, Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, and Returns/Reverse Logistics.
- Hands-on experience delivering enterprise systems, integrations, and process automation, including AI/ML or advanced analytics in operational contexts.
- Ability to translate complex business problems into clear technical requirements and target-state architecture.
- Proven ability to influence and align senior, cross-functional stakeholders in a matrixed environment without direct authority.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills across technical and non-technical global teams.
- Strong documentation discipline and high attention to detail.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies.
Nice to have
- Experience owning systems or platform roadmaps within a Business Technology or Corporate Systems organization.
- ERP experience: NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP.
- Advanced Planning Systems experience: E2open, Kinaxis, Blue Yonder, or Oracle.
- Salesforce knowledge.
- Data and integration ecosystem experience: Databricks, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), APIs, and integration platforms such as Workato or MuleSoft.
- Working knowledge of SQL and analytics.
- Experience with Large Language Models and core ML concepts: forecasting, optimization, classification, and anomaly detection.
- Hands-on experience building AI-powered solutions: AI agents, MCP-based integrations, and AI workflows.
