AI Solutions Engineer

Permhunt is hiring an AI Solutions Engineer for a US-based AI-automation agency that builds Digital Employees — low-code AI agents for small and mid-sized businesses. The role combines hands-on building with client consultation, and you would work on AI workflows and integrations that are already running in production. It is a fit for an engineer who is comfortable talking to clients as well as troubleshooting automations.

What you will do

• Design and build Digital Employees on the Relevance AI platform. Training is provided.
• Create end-to-end automations in n8n, Upgrade, and Airtable that connect phones, CRMs, billing, email, and other systems.
• Integrate AI capabilities through OpenAI and related APIs to handle sales enquiries, support tickets, and data processing.
• Develop third-party integrations using REST APIs and webhooks across CRMs, accounting tools, and other business systems.
• Maintain and optimise existing automations, troubleshoot issues, improve reliability, and document processes.
• Collaborate with AI Implementation Specialists and Client Success Managers to meet 8-week delivery timelines.
• Serve in a client-facing consultation role, working directly with clients to understand issues, provide updates, and help resolve matters across AI workflows and automation systems.
• Troubleshoot workflow failures, API issues, and integration problems, investigate root causes, and implement fixes across platforms such as n8n, Make, Zapier, and similar tools.
