As a Web SDK Engineer, you will work on Nutrient’s Web SDK, a developer-first toolkit for viewing, editing, and processing documents directly in the browser or on the server. You’ll play a key role in building new features, maintaining performance, and delivering an excellent developer experience. 

You will collaborate with a talented and distributed team to solve real-world challenges and ship impactful code used by thousands of developers worldwide.  

Key Responsibilities 

• Design, build, and maintain core features of the Nutrient Web SDK.
  
  
• Write clean, modular, and testable code using modern JavaScript and WebAssembly.
  
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product and Customer Support, to deliver reliable solutions.
  
  
• Optimize the SDK for performance, scalability, and integration with AI models and large documents.
  
  
• Contribute to open-source components and write helpful documentation and examples for developers.
  
  

Requirements
 

• Strong understanding of object-oriented and functional programming principles.
  
  
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and experience building JavaScript SDKs or libraries.
  
  
• Familiarity with WebAssembly (WASM), browser APIs, and performance optimization techniques.
  
  
• Experience in debugging complex browser-based applications.
  
  
• Excellent problem-solving skills and strong written communication (async teamwork).
  
  
• Comfortable working independently in a remote, globally distributed team.
  
  

Nice to Have
 

• Experience with PDF rendering, image processing, or complex UI component libraries.
  
  
• Contributions to open-source projects.
  
  
• Familiarity with AI/LLM integrations or document automation tools.
  
  
• Prior experience with remote startups or developer tools.
