Lovelytics is seeking a Lead GenAI Consultant with hands-on experience delivering client-facing projects in the Generative AI domain, particularly on the Databricks platform. As part of our growing AI & GenAI practice, this role offers an exciting opportunity to design and deploy state-of-the-art solutions that combine language models, vector databases, and cutting-edge orchestration frameworks.

Our work spans the full data and AI lifecycle: Data Strategy & Advisory, Data Engineering, Analytics & Visualization, Generative AI & ML, and Cloud Migration & Modernization. All of it is delivered primarily on Databricks, with deep partnerships across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

In September 2026, Lovelytics became a CDW company. CDW completed its acquisition on September 25, 2026, bringing our team into its Data & Analytics Practice. Together, we can take customers from data strategy to production AI with a single partner across the full technology lifecycle.

The Lead Consultant will play a pivotal role in delivering client engagements focused on AI Agents, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), LLM application development, prompt engineering / DSPy, GenAI-driven automation, and advanced NLP. Our ideal candidate blends technical depth with consulting acumen and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Note: This position is not eligible for work sponsorship at this time.

Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of significant GenAI and Agentic AI workstreams on Databricks, from detailed design through production implementation.
  • Own technical execution for assigned solution components, including design decisions, development, testing, deployment, and operational readiness.
  • Provide day-to-day technical guidance to Senior Consultants and review code, architecture, and implementation quality.
  • Work directly with client technical teams to clarify requirements, communicate progress, resolve blockers, and explain technical tradeoffs.
  • Ensure solutions follow GenAI engineering standards for quality, security, evaluation, observability, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Contribute to technical discovery, estimates, demos, solution design, and reusable GenAI assets.

Requirements

  • Proven hands-on experience building GenAI solutions using LLMs, RAG or broader retrieval patterns, AI agents, tool calling, prompt engineering, and orchestration.
  • Solid Databricks experience across relevant capabilities such as Mosaic AI, Model Serving, MLflow, Unity Catalog, Vector Search, Databricks Apps, and Lakehouse architecture.
  • Strong Python and software engineering fundamentals, including APIs, testing, Git, CI/CD, and deployment practices.
  • Experience with GenAI evaluation, monitoring, guardrails, prompt optimization, and production troubleshooting.
  • Ability to independently design and implement moderately complex solution components using structured and unstructured data.
  • Working understanding of data engineering, ML, and cloud architecture concepts.
  • Ability to lead technical discussions, working sessions, demos, and design reviews with client engineering teams.
  • Ability to mentor Senior Consultants and provide constructive technical feedback.

Our Ideal Candidate's Skills and Experiences

  • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent technical field.
  • 3-5 years of experience, with meaningful experience in data, ML, AI, cloud, or software engineering.
  • Demonstrated 1-2 years hands-on GenAI/LLM project experience, preferably including production implementations.
  • Experience owning technical workstreams or major solution components.
  • Consulting or professional services experience preferred
  • Databricks certifications and broader familiarity with the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform.
  • Experience with DSPy, automated prompt optimization, fine-tuning, synthetic data generation, or advanced evaluation approaches.
  • Experience with Agentic AI, multi-agent systems, MCP, human-in-the-loop workflows, or advanced orchestration.

What We Promise You

  • Meaningful, cutting-edge projects in Generative AI with clients across industries—from Fortune 100 firms to disruptive startups.
  • Rapid learning and mentorship opportunities with AI/GenAI thought leaders and practitioners.
  • A culture of experimentation, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Opportunity to be a conference speaker, blogger, writer.
  • A diverse, inclusive team and one of the best GenAI teams, where your voice, ideas, and contributions are highly valued.
  • Compensation is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, qualifications, scope of role and budget.
  • Candidates are not guaranteed to be placed at any particular point within the range, and most offers will fall within the middle of the range or below.
  • Lovelytics is committed to pay equity and transparency in compensation practices.
