As a Senior Frontend Engineer at Hostaway, you'll take ownership of building and evolving the interfaces that our customers rely on every day. You'll be a key contributor to our frontend architecture, working in close collaboration with Product, Design, and Backend teams to deliver intuitive, high-performance experiences at scale. Beyond shipping features, you'll help raise the bar across the team — through code reviews, mentorship, and driving technical improvements that make everyone more effective.

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable, high-quality UI components, features, and reusable libraries that support our design system.
- Develop intuitive, performant, accessible, and responsive user experiences across browsers and devices.
- Build and maintain frontend integrations with backend services, including REST APIs, and WebSocket-based real-time functionality.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex frontend issues, including memory leaks, performance bottlenecks, and production bugs.
- Define, present, and lead relevant technical initiatives with a clear understanding of the challenge, why it matters, and the impact the delivery brings.
- Contribute to testing, code reviews, architecture decisions, and engineering best practices to ensure quality and maintainability.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and support the monitoring and reliability of released software in production.
Requirements
- 6+ years of frontend software development experience, with a strong track record of building scalable, maintainable applications.
- Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS and HTML.
- Experience with state management solutions such as Redux, Context API, or similar.
- Hands-on experience integrating with backend systems using REST APIs, and/or WebSockets.
- Comfortable using AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, etc.) as part of your daily workflow, and able to get real leverage out of them.
- Strong ability to diagnose and fix memory leaks, frontend performance issues, and browser/runtime inefficiencies.
- Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Proficiency monitoring and supporting production software.
- Demonstrated expertise in cloud-native development, with a strong understanding of how to build and maintain resilient and scalable frontend architectures in a cloud environment.

- Experience working on a mature SaaS product, with a focus on improving and extending the UI for a large user base.
