We're looking for a Senior Sourcing Specialist to find and engage the best candidates for the roles our clients need filled at Hire Overseas, a fast-moving offshore staffing and HR platform placing vetted global talent into U.S. companies. You will headhunt from scratch, build pipelines for hard-to-fill roles, and put strong, interested, well-screened candidates in front of the recruiting team before a client has to ask twice.
This is a small business. There is no large sourcing team behind you and no playbook for every search. You will have a high degree of ownership and autonomy over how you source, where you look, and how you measure what is working. The best candidates for senior roles are rarely applying anywhere, so this job is about finding people who already have jobs and giving them a reason to talk to us. Responsibilities
Headhunting and Pipeline Building
- Source candidates from scratch across LinkedIn, job boards, professional communities, and other channels for roles across every major function
- Build targeted candidate pipelines for senior and hard-to-fill searches, focusing on passive candidates who are not actively applying
- Write personalized outreach that earns replies from busy, employed professionals
- Search across regions including the Philippines, Latin America, and Africa, adapting your approach to each market
Screening and Handoff
- Run initial screening conversations to confirm interest, communication quality, availability, and fit
- Assess candidates against the role requirements and client expectations, and filter out partial fits early
- Hand off strong candidates to the recruiting team with clear notes on strengths, concerns, and motivation
- Keep candidate records accurate and current in the applicant tracking system
Search Strategy and Reporting
- Work with recruiters and account managers to understand each role, the ideal profile, and the client's priorities before sourcing begins
- Track sourcing metrics such as outreach volume, response rates, screens completed, and candidates advanced
- Report on search progress and flag risks early, along with ideas for adjusting the approach
- Test new sourcing channels, search strings, and messaging, and keep what works
Process and Team Support
- Document sourcing playbooks, boolean strings, and outreach templates so what works can be repeated
- Share best practices with the recruiting team and help newer team members get up to speed
- Use AI tools to speed up research, list building, and outreach personalization without lowering quality
Requirements
- Proven experience sourcing or headhunting candidates in a recruiting agency, staffing firm, or in-house talent team, with a track record of filling hard-to-fill roles
- Strong boolean and advanced search skills across LinkedIn and other sourcing channels
- Experience reaching out to passive candidates and getting replies through personalized, credible outreach
- Good judgment on candidate quality, with the ability to tell a strong fit from someone who simply interviews well
- Excellent written English and clear, professional spoken communication
- Organized and metrics-aware with clean record keeping in an applicant tracking system
- Comfortable operating with autonomy in a small business where processes are still being built
- Available to work full-time during US business hours
Nice to have
- Experience sourcing offshore talent in the Philippines, Latin America, or Africa
- Background in staffing, recruiting, or BPO environments
- Experience with applicant tracking systems such as Workable or similar platforms
- Experience sourcing across a wide range of functions including technical, sales, finance, and administrative roles
- Experience using AI tools to improve sourcing speed and personalization
