At Davies, we're looking for an experienced Supply Chain & Procurement Director to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Property business. Reporting directly to the Claims Director, Property, this is a high-impact leadership position with responsibility for our network and supply chain operations, including Davies Repair, BVS Verso, and a broad panel of supply chain partners.
What will your day look like:
As Supply Chain & Procurement Director, you will:
- Lead and develop multiple network management and supply chain teams, creating a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee service delivery across the Property division, ensuring consistent, high-quality outcomes for clients and customers.
- Drive divisional financial performance, taking ownership of revenue, profitability, forecasting, and cost management.
- Manage and optimise supplier relationships, ensuring our network partners deliver outstanding performance, quality, and value.
- Champion a "One Davies" approach, bringing teams together to achieve common goals and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
- Monitor operational performance through robust reporting, data analysis, and KPI management.
- Provide strategic insight and recommendations to support business growth and operational excellence.
- Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, acting as a trusted partner and senior leader.
- Contribute to business development activity, supporting tenders, client proposals, and strategic growth initiatives.
- Drive innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement across the supply chain and repair network.
Knowledge and Abilities:
We're seeking an experienced leader who combines commercial acumen with operational expertise and a genuine passion for people and customer delivery.
You'll bring:
- Extensive leadership experience managing large operational teams directly and through senior management structures.
- A minimum of 10 years' experience within the Property Claims sector, with strong knowledge of property insurance and building repair services.
- A proven track record of delivering financial performance, including P&L responsibility, revenue growth, and cost control.
- Experience managing complex supplier networks, repair contractors, or supply chain partnerships.
- Outstanding stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build credibility with clients, colleagues, and suppliers alike.
- Strong analytical and reporting capabilities, using data to drive decision-making and performance improvements.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A customer-first mindset with a passion for service excellence.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment whilst maintaining strategic focus.
- A full, clean UK driving licence.
