Full time estimator/drafter (AU Dayshift, Remote/WFH Philippines)

Scale-X Solutions is hiring a full-time Estimator-Drafter for a permanent AU dayshift role. This position is remote and open to candidates based in the Philippines. You will produce material take-offs, cost estimates, and technical drawings for commercial and architectural projects.

What you will do

• Analyze project specifications to calculate exact material quantities, equipment needs, and labor hours required for a build.
• Assist in compiling cost estimates and proposals to bid on new contracts and tenders.
• Ensure all drawings and project estimates meet local building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
• Work alongside project managers, engineers, and architects to update plans, correct discrepancies, and optimize costs.
• Create precise 2D or 3D technical drawings, blueprints, and working documents based on client needs and engineering requirements.

What they are looking for

• Good communication skills with proficient English.
• Experience in AU is a must (commercial and residential).
• Proficiency in CAD systems (e.g., AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, Revit) and estimating software (e.g., CostX, Databuild, Bluebeam).
• Proficiency in Word and Excel.
• Must be flexible and able to work to tight deadlines.
• Previous experience in a similar role is essential – general estimator-drafter.
• The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Be flexible and progressive in thinking and able to action thoughts.
• Detail oriented (provide detailed quotes covering materials, labor, and installation costs).
• Strong mathematical aptitude to interpret blueprints and calculate angles, weights, and expenses.
• Interpret civil, structural, and architectural drawings.
• Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering graduate.
