Sr. Scrum Master/Project Manager

RealTime eClinical Solutions is hiring a Senior Scrum Master / Project Manager to lead Agile practice across its engineering organization. The role sets the standard for how Agile is run company-wide, coaches a group of Scrum Masters, and stays close to delivery by running two teams directly. It is a remote position based in the United States.

This job is for someone who has run Agile across several teams at once and has coached other Scrum Masters, not just facilitated ceremonies.

What you will do

• Set and enforce the standard for Agile ceremonies and structure across 12 teams, and directly coach and support 6–7 Scrum Masters.
• Keep one Agile operating model in place across all teams, covering definitions of ready and done, estimation, cadences, and escalation paths.
• Resolve cross-team delivery impediments and run a Scrum Master community of practice.
• Act as Scrum Master for 2 assigned teams, handling ceremonies, backlog hygiene, and impediment removal.
• Own, implement, and evolve the Agile Development Metrics & Quality Accountability Framework, from first commit through production, using Jira and GitHub as the systems of record.
• Maintain delivery metrics in Jira: velocity, sprint predictability, cycle time, lead time, throughput, WIP, scope creep, and carryover rate at team, sprint, and rolling-quarter cadence.
• Build code review rigor metrics from GitHub pull request activity, including change-requested rate, rework commits per PR, review cycles to approval, time in review, and senior reviewer comment density.
• Own the defect discovery-by-phase taxonomy on the Bug issue type in Jira and the metrics that come from it, such as escape rate, production escape rate, phase containment effectiveness, defect density, and mean time to detect.
• Maintain the escaped-defect attribution chain linking each bug back to its originating story or task, the merged pull requests that implemented it, and the author and reviewers of record.
• Own the per-release and quarterly Contractor/Team Accountability Rollup reporting cycle and review trend lines with the relevant teams and leads.
• Administer eazyBI or an equivalent BI layer connected to Jira and GitHub to produce recurring dashboards without a separate data pipeline.
• Serve as the main Agile conduit between Product Managers, Product Owners, and engineering, translating roadmap intent into execution across the 12 teams.
• Apply scaled Agile methods to coordinate cross-team dependencies, program increment and release planning, and backlog alignment.
• Facilitate program-level ceremonies such as PI planning, scrum-of-scrums, and cross-team dependency reviews.

What they are looking for

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years as a Scrum Master or Agile Project Manager in a professional software development environment, including coaching or leading other Scrum Masters.
• Experience running Agile ceremonies and delivery practices across multiple concurrent teams.
• Working knowledge of scaled Agile methodologies such as SAFe, Scrum@Scale, or LeSS, and experience between Product Management/Product Ownership and engineering teams.
• Hands-on Jira administration for Agile delivery, including custom fields, workflows, and sprint and board configuration.
• Working knowledge of GitHub pull request workflows, branch protection, and Jira–GitHub linkage through smart commits.
• Ability to design, implement, and evolve delivery and quality metrics programs and turn them into reporting non-technical stakeholders can act on.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering tooling and workflows.

What sets you apart

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent certification; SAFe certification is a plus.
• Direct experience administering eazyBI or a comparable BI layer against Jira and GitHub data.
• Experience building or maturing a defect discovery and escaped-defect attribution framework.

Pay and location

The salary range is USD 110,000 – 140,000 per year. The company is based in San Antonio, TX, but operates as a remote and telecommuting company, and this role is listed for the United States.
