Southwest Medical Imaging (SMIL), part of Radiology Partners, is hiring a full-time overnight neuroradiologist for its emergency radiology section. The section has 18 members, including 6 dedicated overnight radiologists, and the role is fully remote. It runs on a 7-on/14-off schedule from 10pm to 7am Arizona time.

What you will do

  • Interpret emergency, urgent care and inpatient imaging for HonorHealth across 6 hospitals, 3 of them Level 1 trauma centers
  • Work with a varied case mix that includes CT, X-ray and ultrasound
  • Read studies from multiple modalities; MRI, IR and nuclear medicine are not part of the role unless you want them
  • Work alongside other radiologists, since staggered shifts mean multiple people are reading at all times
  • Use PowerScribe, InteleRad and Epic for reporting, imaging and clinical workflow
  • Optionally moonlight internally during your off weeks on outpatient and inpatient exams

Schedule and location

  • 7 days on, 14 days off
  • 10pm to 7am Arizona time
  • 100% remote
  • Full-time, 30 or more hours per week

What they are looking for

  • Board eligible or certified by the American Board of Radiology or the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology
  • Neuroradiology fellowship required
  • CAQ preferred
  • Fellows and residents are welcome to apply

Pay and benefits

The salary range is $500,000 to $600,000 per year. Final pay may vary based on education, work experience, certifications and geographic location. The role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and the practice describes the pay as a base salary plus productivity bonuses.

Radiology Partners offers health and wellness coverage options, 401k benefits, and other benefits such as family planning and telehealth. All benefits are subject to eligibility requirements.

There is a partnership track, which the practice prefers, plus an additional shareholder opportunity with the physician-owned SMIL Outpatient Imaging Centers.
