Remote Day Emergency Radiologist - Jefferson Radiology

Jefferson Radiology is recruiting a daytime emergency radiologist to support a growing practice in Connecticut. The role is remote, with an onsite option, and the reading covers emergency department, inpatient, and STAT exams, including Level I trauma center studies in an urban setting. Residents and fellows are encouraged to apply.

What you will do

• Interpret emergency studies, including Level I trauma center cases, plus acute inpatient and STAT examinations.
• Cover non-emergent ambulatory general radiology and ambulatory radiology as part of swing shift volume, depending on sub-specialty training in Body, MSK, or Neuro.
• No mammography, interventional radiology, or nuclear medicine.
• Subspecialized support is available for complex or unfamiliar cases.
• The onsite radiology residency program offers chances to teach and stay involved academically.

Schedule options

• Day shift: Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm EST, plus weekend commitments.
• Swing shift: Monday through Friday with flexible hours, plus weekend commitments.
• 7 on / 7 off.
• An onsite option is available.

What they are looking for

• MD or DO.
• Board eligible or certified by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or American Osteopathic Board of Radiology (AOBR).
• Residency trained in an ACGME-accredited radiology program.
• Fellowship trained in Body Imaging. Fellowship training in Body, MSK, Neuro, or ER is a plus.
• Comfort interpreting studies in emergency settings, including Level I trauma center studies in an urban setting.
• Leadership ability and interest would be considered an asset. The existing 24/7 onsite emergency radiology program is ready to expand, and the practice will support a leader willing to develop new programs and consider network collaborations.
• The practice will assist in obtaining licenses in Connecticut and Massachusetts.

Pay and benefits

The salary range is $400,000-$650,000. Final determinations may vary based on education, work experience, certifications, geographic location, and other factors. The role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
