Anaplan Analyst

This is an Anaplan Analyst role with Par Excellence Search Consulting Inc, based in the Philippines. The Anaplan Analyst supports Anaplan initiatives and projects for Global Finance Shared Services, reporting to the MBPS Finance Service Delivery Program Manager and functionally accountable to the Financial Process and Control Lead for Global Finance Shared Services Asia. It suits someone with a finance background who builds and maintains Anaplan models and can work with business users through the full project lifecycle.

What you will do

• Support Anaplan projects and initiatives by delivering large, complex end-to-end Anaplan implementation projects, including requirements gathering, modelling and building designs, testing, and developing training materials.
• Maintain and update existing Anaplan models as business requirements change.
• Keep a strong framework of controls in place across the Anaplan environment.
• Design, develop and maintain planning, forecasting and consolidation models, and handle data transformation to meet business requirements.
• Analyze business requirements and objectives, and monitor key measures related to stakeholder satisfaction.
• Take part in data integration and migration solution activities.
• Prepare business users and team members by facilitating trainings or walkthroughs.
• Assist in the estimate process, including updating and validating forecast assumptions.
• Help end users engage with the models by incorporating visualizations through dashboards.
• Document all processes and other technical deliverables for ease of use and transparency.
• Provide primary business support during process UAT and parallel runs, including acting as the main escalation and resolution contact.
• Alert management to accounting or operational problems and suggest actionable solutions.
• Take on special projects that may not be Anaplan related, assigned by the Manager as required by senior management for new services, products and processes. These need strong financial knowledge, analytical and organizational skills, and an innovative mindset.
• Partner with business users and Finance Shared Services Operations through the Anaplan project lifecycle, and make sure outcomes are measured, tracked and reported.

What they are looking for

• Bachelor's Degree in accounting or another related discipline. CPA designation is an advantage.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in finance function processes, including consolidation, management reporting, forecasting/budgeting, and finance operations.
• 2+ years of experience designing and building Anaplan models, with Level 2 Model Builder certification.
• Strong financial model building skills on Anaplan and potentially other EPM tools such as Excel, Hyperion or Essbase.
• Strong expertise and deep understanding of multi-dimensional modeling, with the ability to translate from model-building in Excel to multi-dimensional technologies.
• Strong understanding of financial fundamentals and commercial drivers.
• Comfortable operating across geographies and with teams of varying maturity.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills, with the tact and clear verbal and written communication needed to facilitate solutions and resolve problems.
• Strong influence, negotiation and change management skills.
• Strong analytical and innovative problem-solving skills, with proven flexibility and judgment in assessing business issues and risks in a dynamic environment.
• Execution-oriented, with a strong focus on delivering targeted outcomes.

Nice to have

• Prior experience working with offshore teams.
• A recognized financial qualification (CIMA, ACCA or equivalent).
• Certification to Anaplan Solution Architect or Master Anaplanner level.
• Knowledge of VBA, SQL and basic data warehouse experience.
