Shopify Engineer (Remote) – Shopify Plus & Headless Commerce

Key Responsibilities 

First 3 Months 

• Onboard into Shopify workflows and active client projects
  
  
• Contribute to theme customizations and Shopify app development
  
  
• Participate in code reviews and cross-functional collaboration
  
  

3–6 Months
 

• Lead Shopify Plus implementations
  
  
• Integrate third-party tools and APIs
  
  
• Improve project delivery efficiency and client satisfaction
  
  

6–12 Months
 

• Fully own major Shopify projects from planning to deployment
  
  
• Mentor junior developers on best practices
  
  
• Conduct internal workshops and contribute to open-source initiatives
  
  
• Drive innovation within Nebulab’s Shopify practice
  
  

Required Qualifications
 

• 3+ years of Shopify development experience
  
  
• Strong expertise in Liquid templating and Shopify theme development
  
  
• Proficiency in JavaScript, React, and modern frontend technologies
  
  
• Experience with Shopify Plus and Shopify APIs
  
  
• Hands-on experience developing Shopify apps (public and private)
  
  
• Solid understanding of eCommerce best practices
  
  
• Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
  
  

Preferred Qualifications
 

• Experience with Shopify Hydrogen and headless commerce
  
  
• Familiarity with Shopify CLI and Theme Kit
  
  
• Knowledge of GraphQL and Shopify Admin API
  
  
• Experience with Ruby on Rails
  
  
• Experience building checkout extensions and customizations
  
  
• Consulting or client-facing experience
